Along with the announcement of the BASTARD‼ -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy- anime, let us reveal four cast members and bring you their comments!

Kisho Taniyama as Dark Schneider, Tomori Kusunoki as Tia Noto Yoko, Gara as Hiroki Yasumoto, and Yoko Hikasa as Arshes Nei.

I was still in school when the manga series was running.
I knew about the work of course; it had such a strong impact that you couldn’t not know it.
To think that after all these years, I’d be playing the crazy protagonist Dark Schneider from that crazy manga that was right in the middle of my youth... life sure is full of surprises.
Kazuki Yao played Dark Schneider in the OVA, and he was such a perfect fit that I thought no one else could pull it off.
For the people who believed in me that I can take on this role, and for the fans of the original manga, I’ll give it my best to portray a Dark Schneider that only I can do, so I hope you’ll all watch over me.
　

Yoko can be a bit scary when she’s mad because she has such a strong core and foundation, but she’s a very compassionate, determined, and kind woman.
I’ll make sure the anime will be something fans across the world and those new to the work will enjoy, so I ask for your support!
　

When I was a kid, this manga really fired up my spirit—and something else...
I have such fond memories of this work, and I cannot even begin to express what it means to be able to play Gara, one of my favorite characters.
I’ll act with great grit and care to portray a dynamic yet kind and charming Gara.
　

I’m Yoko Hikasa, and I’ll be playing Arshes Nei.
Nei’s an awkward but honest character who pursues strength and an ideal world all while trying to ignore what’s deep down inside her heart.
I hope I can portray her delicate emotions that waver in between her obligations and love.
This work full of the author’s playful spirit is coming to life, and I know the fans are super excited!
